( GETTING STARTED)
Alright, so first of all, you need to register with
your character's first & last name CAPITALIZED.
If you need a name change, we are not going
to give you one. So do it right, please.
You need to do your application above anything!
Then, you need to post in the face claim, following
the other claims. DO NOT post if your application
isn't accepted..
Please talk to us! That is what the C-BOX is for!
We are very sociable here at POWERFUL BEGINNINGS, and
we are welcoming to all new members, so don't
be shy!
( C-BOX)
So, here's the deal. Don't go advertising in the C-BOX!
Seriously, that is what the advertising board is for.
Don't worry, people will see it if they want to, don't force
anyone.
No fighting! Guys, really, be mature. Nobody wants
to join a site where people are fighting, and it
is a waste of your time as a member and the admins
time. So why? let's just have fun!.
Remember: Don't be shy! We LOVE to chat with you!
Just make sure to follow this rules or your I.P. will
be temporarily suspended.
( ADVERTISING)
This seems silly but I will repeat it anyway,
please advertise in the advertising board.
There is appropriate room there, for first
time and link backs. I DO NOT want
to see ads listed all over my site. Also
remember that it's 1 ad per site posted
by the Head admin ONLY.
( ROLEPLAYING)
First things first, no sexual or overly abusive
acts on this site remember we are PG- 13 if you
wouldn't do it in front of your grandmother don't
do it here!. I THINK you know what I mean. No cursing,
badmouthing, or harassing members or staff. I will
keep my eyes open for this. Be respectful to every
member here. Remember to treat others the way you would
like to be treated.
( WORD COUNT)
There is a 400 word limit to your threads!
The more the better, but there is a minimum of
400. If you cannot post that amount this is not
the site for you. I will not remind members of this.
we understand people can get writers block but if
you cannot do 400 minimum I will have to remove your post.
Do not, do not, do not reply to a post that someone
spent 2 hours on, and post 1 clumsy paragraph. It
is very unfair, and it will be deleted by the admins.
Remember spell check! Grammar check! We are
very picky people. Capatilization is one of the musts.
So please know how to write before joining here.
( CHARACTERS)
There is a limit of 3 canon characters per member.
You must put them ALL on different accounts.
It gets confusing for some people, even
if it isn't confusing for you, be considerate. If you
have four characters, one of the characters has to
be a boy.
Please do not whine if the face claim you wanted is
taken. We don't want to hear it.
No Mary-Sue's or Gary-Sue's allowed. ALL people have
flaws and your characters have to too!
( POWERS)
This site works differently from other sites. Firstly we
expect all of you to have powers unless of course you would
like to be a mortal which is also AWESOME!. The max amount
of powers on this site is 6, so no more no less. Your character
must have 3 active powers, and 3 passive. This way your character
is not too strong. This is how the admins on POWERFUL BEGINNINGS
expect your powers to look like.
Active power- Powers that can be used in battle against another being.
Passive power- power that transports or cannot be used in battle.
Demons
Pyrokinesis - 1 transportation
Energy balls - Active
Electrokinesis - Active
Telepathy - Passive
Premonition- Passive
Dark Ritual Casting- Passive
We expect all species to have a way of transportation, as well as an access to either light / dark magic so spell casting or potion making is a must.
Witches
Deflection - active
Telekinesis - active
Conjuring - active
Spell Casting- Passive
Potion Making- Passive
Scrying - Passive
3 active, 3 passive powers. Not all beings have to have spell casting, Potion Making, and Scrying, but they do have to have minimum spell casting and potion making. If you choose to take out scrying for your character please choose another passive power such as orbing. Remember,'I'm charmed'.
( ACTIVITY)
Can you please, please, please stay active?
We cannot stress this enough, it is okay if
you have to go on vacation or something like
that, but don't just disappear, post on the
'away board' please. If you don't we will simply
remove your account. Bless it be!
We will have activity checks probably every
few weeks, and if you
don't make two activity checks, we will send
out an email, and if you don't reply we will
have to delete your account. Sorry. :x
( AVATARS AND SIGNATURES)
Oh yes, those avatars and signatures. Please make sure your
avatars are 250x250, no bigger please. We want to see your
character for sure but we also want to keep the post as the
main focus. Secondly, please make sure your signature is no
bigger than 600x250. Stretching pages is a pet- peeve of mine.
